- We are using EPIC (reading app). It is like Netflix for books... the students are exposed to a variety of different genres of texts, as well as format- "read to me" is a feature.
Jack the Giant's Literacy Challenge:
- Some Vancouver Giants presented us with a reading and physical literacy challenge. Our class will participate in the reading portion which includes reading at home for 15 minutes (additional time that is not spent reading in school).
- Students are responsible for completing the reading log and have it signed by a parent (or teacher) during this two week challenge.
- Upon completion of the challenge, the class will qualify for tickets to attend Jack the Giant's Literacy Skills Day on Sunday December 11th at Langley Events Centre.
